Tuesday evening I picked up Dennis and headed to the airport planning on making cross country flight to celebrate his graduation. With no particular destination in mind we took to the skies and headed out into the breeze to explore the countryside. Well about an hour later we found ourselves circling over Buzzy Field and decided it was time to head for home. We touched down back at Syvrud airfield just before sunset having logged about 37 Miles in a little bit more than an hour and a half. What a great night! Happy graduation Dennis, the fun has just begun!!

I met Rick at the airfield early Monday morning for some kiting practice with the trike. However the grass was still soaked from the heavy morning dew so we were only able to make two passes down the runway before the wing was too heavy to stay overhead and we were fully saturated as well. Next up was Mike, we spent most of his first day working on kiting skills. We took a few breaks from the heat to hide out in the hanger and discuss motors and other important issues. I ended the day by watching Steve, Todd and Brian make several short flights around the airport. 14 hours of fun!
Despite the unrelenting heat, Mike and his better half Cindy met me at the park near Oconomowoc Saturday morning to learn more about paramotoring. He tried on a motor, hung in the moble simulator and got a hands on look at all the other gear involved in this awesome sport. It didn’t take him long for him to commit. He begins his adventure in earnest Monday morning. Welcome Mike!!
