Robert and his daughter Arrow were out Wednesday evening to finish up his training. He had just two flights remaining and was saving them so he could take them with his new Parajet Maverick. We broke in the motor and adjusted the harness last time he was at the hanger in preparation for tonight.
There was a good size group of pilots, students and spectators on hand to watch him. Nick was there with his girlfriend Bailey. He made a few flights himself. Madcity Paragliding graduates Kevin and Curt were there too. Greg was taking the Top80 Miniplane for a flight to help him decide what machine he was going to get for himself (he’s going with the Moster 185+ Miniplane, I ordered it for him after his flight with the 80, just not enough power from the 80 for his liking). Karisa was also at the airport that evening working on her kiting skills and observing the others flying. With everyone watching, Robert perfectly executed the last couple required flights on his new paramotor. He was congratulated by everyone moments after landing his 25th flight. Afterwards, since there was some daylight left in the day he decided to go back up and enjoy the sunset from his lawn chair in the sky. Congratulations Robert, be safe and have fun! Thursday TJ was back for more training. We spent the morning working on wing control and even got him a few steps off the ground. After lunch it was ground school time with the William Shattner movie and general PPG knowledge. Next up for him is simulator training and a trip to the sledding hill.
